After a very long hiatus, I've resumed working my way through my Twilight Zone boxset. (Blame How I Met Your Mother for the long break--I've finally made it through season four on DVD and I'm no closer to knowing who he marries, and in fact, Ted says the story is just beginning. Ack!)

For a long time, New Year's Eve meant watching the Twilight Zone marathon, when it was on local station WPIX-11. Since it migrated to the Sci Fi Channel, it was inaccessible to me most years, plus I tended to go out and make social plans(!).
